Our Story
From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Boutique
Lindale Floral began as a small, locally-owned flower shop back in 1947. The original owner, driven by a passion for floristry and a love for our Lindale community, started with a simple mission: to bring the beauty of fresh flowers into the homes and hearts of our neighbors. Back then, we were the go-to place for all things floral, from wedding bouquets to sympathy arrangements, with a focus on personalized service and exceptional quality.
As the years passed, Lindale Floral blossomed into something more than just a flower shop. Several
years ago, the previous owner saw an opportunity to expand our offerings by introducing a carefully curated selection of gift items. This was a turning point for us, transforming the shop into a boutique that catered to a variety of needs. Being the only shop of its kind in the area, Lindale Floral quickly became known not just for our flowers, but for our unique selection of gifts, fashion, and home decor.
In 2022, I was fortunate enough to take over this incredible business. With a fresh perspective and a deep appreciation for Lindale Floral’s rich history, I set out to modernize the shop while staying true to our roots. I rebranded the business to better reflect our evolving identity, brightened the store’s interior, and expanded our product offerings to include more fashion and lifestyle items. Throughout these changes, my goal has always been to maintain the same level of care and commitment that our customers have come to expect from Lindale Floral.

I believe in the power of community and strive to make Lindale Floral more than just a business – I want it to be a gathering place, a source of inspiration, and a partner in the moments that matter most to you. I like to buy products from local Lindale artisans to showcase in the store, most notably Sweet Necia's Cheesecake and Rachael's greeting cards. We also participate in national initiatives like the Petal It Forward campaign, I’m deeply committed to giving back to the Lindale community that has supported us for so many years.
MEET THE LINDALE FLORAL FAMILY
JAN HULSHOUSER
Jan joined the Lindale Floral team in 2018 as a Floral Designer. She worked many years at Quitman Flower Shop and makes a great addition to the Lindale Floral design team. Her favorite flower is the peony. Jan's favorite floral composition is an airy flow garden styled arrangement. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grand babies.
MARK ELLISON
Mark joined the Lindale Floral team in 2017 as a floral designer and decorator. He came to us from Quitman Flower Shop and makes a fun upbeat addition to the shop. Mark loves big hugs, singing opera, Gaye Gaye red heart red heart, telling stories about the grandkids, and spreading joy to everyone. His favorite flower is the hydrangea and his favorite design style is zen artistry. He makes most of the silk arrangements you see around the shop, and he even constructed some of our display fixtures!
CHEYENNE PAGE
Cheyenne is a sales associate and has been at Lindale Floral for over a year. She is from Van Texas (but we won’t hold that against her, Go EAGLES!) She will be there to take your floral orders, in person or over the phone, provide great customer service and she makes a beautiful gift bow. Cheyenne appreciates that her role at Lindale Floral allows her to apply her college degree in her everyday work while gaining valuable experience for her future as an entrepreneur. Cheyenne is excited to marry her high school sweetheart in November 2025.
LIZZIE WORDEN
Lizzie joined the Lindale Floral team in 2021as a sales associate and is an invaluable piece of our team. Lizzie’s dedication to her work is clear in her relationships with our customers. Her favorite aspect of working at Lindale Floral is getting the opportunity to hone her social skills with the public to prepare her for future career as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Lizzie is set to marry her high school sweetheart this coming August marking an exciting new chapter in her life!
CHLOE SMITH
Chloe Smith has been a dedicated team member at Lindale Floral for nearly two years. She loves her job because it aligns perfectly with her pursuit of a managerial business degree, offering her valuable insights into the behind-the-scenes operational aspects of running a successful business. Chloe is looking forward to her upcoming wedding to her high school sweetheart, Evan, on March 1, 2025!!
MEET JULIA
Julia is our delivery woman extraordinaire! She grew up in Delaware, where she met and married Justin. They moved to Texas in 2005, and to Lindale in 2022. They have 3 fantastic children. When she isn’t working, Julia is either running the kids to activities, crocheting, of sitting on her deck enjoying the view!
Lindale Floral is a great place to work and shop. We all get along and work really well together as a team. Also, you never know what cute new things you will see in the shop!

I’m Tara and I am the proud owner of this multigenerational success story! I bought Lindale Floral Shop in January 2023 because it was my absolute favorite place to shop and today it continues to be a curated collection of things that I love and know that you will love too. From florals to home décor and everything in between, I stock my store with what I know you want and need in your home. We are all busy and this little slice of small town heaven is a place where you can come, feel welcomed, unwind, and just breathe for a moment. With three beautiful, smart, amazing children, I know all too well how important it is to have a shopping experience like that. I am married to Daryn who is the muscle behind the never ending to do list! From construction and repairs to last minute delivery guy, he does it all.
When you shop Lindale Floral you are supporting seven local families, you are supporting local programs and non-profits who rely on sponsorships from businesses AND you are supporting a tradition of community giving like our Nursing Home Angels program.
